By envisioning our shoreline as a cornerstone of health, prosperity and resilience for our region and the future, LEAP issues a call to action for citizens to demand better, for politicians to rise to the occasion, and for the institutions of the Bay to respond in a spirit of cooperation.

There will be a panel discussion to explore progressive strategies for strengthening our communities, improving our natural and built environments and imagining a better Bay.

SF Bay Shoreline Advocates Meeting

Shorebird Park Nature Center
160 University Ave., Berkeley 
(short distance west of I-80 down University)

Tentative agenda :
  • Roundtable introductions and updates
  • Briefing on the June vote on a parcel tax for Bay restoration -- and how groups can support it.
     
  • Helping nature with cell phones -- Bioblitzes, mapping invasives, more.
  • Report from Marin on a pioneer approach to dealing with sea-level rise.
     
  • Updates and new initiatives from organizations around the region.
Coffee, tea and light refreshments provided! Feel free to bring snacks to share or a bag lunch for yourself. 

Bring literature and ideas you'd like to discuss. Even better, let us know in advance what you'd like to talk about!
